Raise IT Up: The 2010 TechColumbus Innovation Awards

Hollywood isn’t the only city rolling out the red carpet and presenting awards this February. On Thursday, February 3rd, TechColumbus presents their 2010 Innovation Awards at Battelle Hall in the Columbus Greater Convention Center.
The TechColumbus Innovation Awards recognize “outstanding achievements in technology leadership and innovation” and this year includes twelve categories:
· Outstanding Startup Business
· Outstanding Product (over and under 50 employees)
· Outstanding Service (over and under 50 employees)
· Outstanding Technology Team
· Green Innovation
· Innovation in Non-Profit Service Delivery
· Executive of the Year (over and under 50 employees)
· Outstanding Woman in Technology
· Inventor of the Year
The aim of TechColumbus is to help start-ups “grow their concepts, their maturity, their abilities and their ambitions.” Nomination for an Innovation Award provides outstanding Columbus start-ups the networking, recognition and credibility they deserve.

In the semi-finalists for Outstanding Startup Business is MobileXpeditions, LLC. You may remember that MobileXpeditions won the IT Community Choice Award at IT Martini Hour 10: Agile of All Trades last May. The IT Pros who attended had the opportunity to test a demo of MobileXpeditions app that connects users and content at the location of the user – the perfect app for museums and city tourism planners.
In the semi-finalists for Outstanding Product is DOMedia, LLC, another IT Martini Hour 10: Agile of All Trades start-up company DEMO. DOMedia is a database of over 200,000 traditional, alternative and digital media properties. From highway billboards to digital signage networks, DOMedia provides media planners one centralized location to search for, assess and contact available media properties throughout the US.
