It was a cold and rainy evening, but that didn't stop a record number of Cleveland IT Pros from attending IT Martini Hour 14: Tech or Treat at Anatomy in the Warehouse District. The first floor held some highly interactive DEMOs and shoulder-to-shoulder crowd that raised nearly $2000 for Komen for the Cure - while the panel discussion upstairs explored the theme of 'Technology's Influence on the Customer Experience'.
CDI IT Solutions and moderator Kevin Dacey hosted the panel discussion, which showcased some of Cleveland's top senior leadership talent: panelists Michael Kubit from Case Western Reserve University, Wayne Barry from Cliffs Natural Resources, Curt Herge from CDI IT Solutions, and Tom Johnston from Applied Industrial Technologies. It was a first class exchange of ideas, with a diversity of thought ranging across industies, roles, and technology perspectives.
On the first floor, in the lounge, Cynergies hosted two early stage DEMOs coming straight out of Cleveland's entrepreneurial IT Community. They included:
- Hiring Force, an online collaboration and organization tool that makes the hiring process easier for corporate clients
- Repelit and Scrubit, a security endpoint solution that isolates, blocks, cleans, and solves for security threats
Congratulations to Hiring Force for winning the IT Martini Community Choice Award! A special thanks to all DEMO participants and voters - look for the video interviews coming soon.
Closing out the evening was a raffle prize give-away, with prize donations including iPod Shuffles (thanks CDI IT Solutions & Kelley | Price Technology), a Flip Video Camera (thanks Cynergies), a GPS (thanks ICNS), and several other amazing prizes. One more thanks to YOUR IT Community, who raised nearly $2000 for Komen for the Cure!
This was the best Cleveland IT Martini event ever, thanks to Top Shelf Sponsor Cynergies. The turnout was amazing, and the energy from YOUR IT Commmunity at IT Martini Hour 14 was endless.
We're looking forward the next one - stay tuned!
