An amazingly warm evening in the early Fall drove hundreds of IT Pros to IT Martini Hour 13: Allusions of Security at the brand new Ohio Union. Through the sparkling Performance Hall and into the Courtyard outside, there were non-stop activities - including a high caliber panel talking IT Security, three early stage companies performing DEMOs, and The Buckeye Ranch and The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research engaging YOUR IT Community for support.
Starting in the Performance Hall, Pride Technologies moderator Chris Philpott hosted another record turnout for a panel discussion with some of the biggest thought leaders in IT Security: C. Matthew Curtin from Interhack, Jack Jones from RMI, Doug Davidson from Jacadis, and Brent Houston from MicroSolved. It was a quality discussion, and an extension of the top notch talent seen at the TechTomorrow Conference all day.
Outside in the Courtyard, Pride Technologies also hosted three early stage DEMOs that engaged the IT Community with some 'Columbus Original' products. They included:
- e-Cycle, a full-service wireless recycling and buyback company that recycles and resells used and new mobile phones
- Janova, a web-based, automated software testing tool that speaks in 'plain English'
- DirectedMessages, a a web-based application for advocacy and activist organizations that need more effective ways to influence business leaders, elected officials and candidates for office
Congratulations to Janova for winning the IT Martini Community Choice Award! And a special thanks to all DEMO participants, including 'featured' DEMO participant Best Buy for Business.
Closing out the evening was a raffle prize give-away, with prize donations from Brooksource, Technical Youth, Abercrombie & Fitch, eSolutech, BDPA Columbus, HP, Mediu. Thanks to this group, YOUR IT Community raised over $1500 for The Buckeye Ranch and The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research!
This had to be one of the best IT Martini events ever, thanks to Top Shelf Sponsors Gyan Group, Agile Technologies and 2Checkout. The turnout was unbelievably huge, and the excitement from YOUR IT Commmunity at IT Martini Hour 13 was contagious.
We're looking forward the next one - stay tuned!
